My story began in a small town in southern Virginia. Most of my friends’ families grew tobacco and sleepovers led into early mornings going with them to fulfill chores on the farm. Every store we visited and restaurant we frequented were filled with familiar faces who all knew my name and my entire family. Cousins felt like siblings and aunts and uncles like second parents.

At eleven years old, my family moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina. Here I fell in love with volleyball, monograms, and student ministry. I began to feel a call to full time ministry and committed to walk in this direction, whatever shape it continues to take at 16 years old.

Following high school, I attended Berry College in Rome, GA where I still call home. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, minoring in Spanish and Women and Gender Studies. I now serve in my church, work in full time ministry with the WinShape College Program, and am pursuing a Master of Divinity.

Beyond my resumé, I think I have best grown to define myself as a mixture of Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls), Leigh Anne Tuohy (The Blind Side), and Mary Poppins. I love a strong cup of black coffee, all things chocolate peanut butter, and dancing at weddings.
